Questions and answers (and inspiration!) with Molly Mathews, a local mom with a passion for wellness whose yearning for fun things to do with her children sparked a unique business idea! 1. What (or who) inspired you to start your business?
My first daughter; after becoming a stay-at-home Mom, I was always looking for more fun activities in the area that we could do together and she loved singing and dancing from an early age!
2. What do you love most about the work you do?
I love watching the babies/kids learn something new for the first time and the pure joy they experience! Also providing these opportunities to caregivers to witness and bond with their kids during classes too.
3. What advice do you have for others wanting to start a business?
Life is too short to wonder "what if". If you have a dream- go for it! I like to think of rejection and "no's" in business as being redirected to something even better!
4. What do you do to take care of yourself, and how do you make/find time to do it?
This is something I was not great at as a new Mom and am VERY adamant about now as I have realized how necessary it is to show up as my best self in all areas of life, including motherhood and business. I also work with a holistic wellness coaching company which has helped me grow in this area. I make sure to do things daily that I know add up to my own happiness such as going for walks, being in nature, reading/listening to encouraging podcasts, and of course singing and dancing to Zumbini songs! I make the time for these things by involving my kids in the things that we can do together, and also scheduling time for myself - even if it means waking up early to get in my devotion time in silence.
5. What can we readers do to support you in the community?
Try out a class if you have kids in the 0-4 yr range! Support my new Facebook page (Zumbini with Molly) or share with someone who has young kids and might like to try out a class.
6. What is your favorite spot to visit around Hendricks County?
You can usually find us at a park - we love exploring new ones, but Arbuckle Acres in Brownsburg is a favorite that we frequent often!
