I think many of us could use an extra dose of Christmas magic this year, and that's exactly what will be served up at the Brownsburg Yuletide Festival!  Connection Pointe Christian Church (CPCC) will host the Yuletide Festival three consecutive weekends from Dec. 4 through 18, and this year's festival is in partnership with the Brownsburg Parks Department and the Town of Brownsburg.

Amid the height of the pandemic last year, CPCC set out to offer safe ways for the community to experience the holiday season. I, for one, indulged in some Christmas nostalgia at the drive-in movie showing of White Christmas, and it was a bright spot in the rather bleak year known as 2020.

This year my Christmas spirit kicked into overdrive as I learned the Yuletide Festival would be back for a second year...with tons of new festive activities! The 2021 Yuletide Festival includes something perfect for every age and many of the activities are free.

Holiday Movies

I might be the only one binge-watching holiday flicks this time of year. But I'm excited to get out of my house for an old-fashioned, movie-going experience at the Yuletide Festival. And all the movies are free to attend!

Cozy up in the front seat (or the back!) of your vehicle as you watch Home Alone, It's a Wonderful Life, Frozen, two different variations of The Grinch and several other classic holiday movies in the CPCC parking lot.

Bring your own snacks or enjoy the hot chocolate and cookie decorating being offered at the festival.

There will also be a special indoor showing of White Christmas at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5, complete with popcorn. While this is being promoted as a "Senior Event" with residents of local senior communities receiving special invitations, all ages are encouraged to come for this holiday classic.

Character Breakfast

The Yuletide Festival will host two different character breakfasts this year, and the cost is $20 per person. Dine with the Green Christmas Monster on Dec. 11 or hang out with everyone's favorite Snow Queens on Dec. 18.

Both events include a pancake breakfast and fun holiday activities inside the church as well as pictures and ice skating with the characters. Reservations are required for the character breakfasts and can be made by clicking here.
