Splash Pads and Water Parks are Opening Again!

Dive in and have fun!

Baby, it's getting HOT outside! Splash Pads are opening back up across Hendricks County, and are a great alternative (or addition) to your backyard sprinkler. Be sure to take along: towels, sunscreen, flip flops or water shoes, and sunglasses. If you're planning to stay more than 30 minutes, consider bringing snacks and water bottles.


Avon

The FREE splash pad at Washington Township Park opens on May 28 through Labor Day! There are plenty of places to sit in the shade, and is a popular hot-day activity for kids of all ages. Find out more about it here.


Danville

The Gill Family Aquatic Center (450 Leedy St.) reopens Saturday, May 29 through August 10. It features a zero depth entry, lazy river, vortex, water slides, and a splash pad. View daily fees, membership options, and daily hours here


Brownsburg

The Watermill Splash Pad at Williams Park (940 S. Locust Ln.) opens on Saturday, May 29! Open daily, 10am-8:30pm through September 26. This FREE splash pad is friendly for all ages and features a 32-gallon downpour! Small playground immediately nearby, with the larger Blast Off Playground a short walk away. Also check out the park's nature trails and playing fields!


Plainfield

The Splash Island Outdoor Water Park (651 Vestal Rd.) opens Friday, May 28 through Labor Day, September 7. The water park features more than 4 acres of fun, including a zero-entry area for little ones, and water slides, ropes and water guns, and balancing obstacles for older visitors. The Hummel Park Splash Pad (1500 South Center) opened May 25 and is open daily from 10am-7pm. It's FREE fun! Check out splash pad rules here
