As the weather gets colder, it feels more and more difficult to find activities for kids to keep occupied indoors. A lot of our cold weather go-to activities tend to be sitting ones. I'm sure you've experienced a kid who hasn't had time in his day to use up his energy.
Studies have shown that exercise chemically improves your reaction to stress, your mental clarity, your mood, and helps you to sleep better. Kids can get these benefits just from playing outside 30 minutes a day. But, how are you supposed to make sure they get exercise when the weather gets rainy, cold, and dark?
