Local Apple Orchards

A Bushel & a Peck

By Krista Hershey August 29, 2019

Whether you're ready for sweater weather or not, apple season is upon us. I usually think of picking apples as strictly a fall activity. But certain apple varieties have been ready since the beginning of August! Whether you pick them yourselves, buy a 1/2-peck at the market, or just go to the orchard to take fall photos, make sure you explore these apple orchards close to home. It's an awesome outdoor family tradition with delicious results that will get you in the mood for fall!
