Free National Park Pass for 4th Graders

Plan your National Park Road Trip!

By Krista Hershey June 27, 2019

Did you know the National Parks have a special program that allows any 4th grader to get a free National Park pass for your entire family?

Visit the site for Every Kid in a Park, the program that makes this travel magic possible. The pass can get a 4th grader and their accompanying family into literally thousands of sites including: National Parks, National Wildlife Refuge, National Forest, and some National Historic Sites. We recommend researching your desired destination site to make sure it accepts the pass before you plan your trip.

All you have to do is answer a few quick questions, print your pass, and go on a trip! Make sure your 4th grader is with you in the car in order to use the pass.

You might even consider taking a train as mode of transportation. The Every Kid in a Park program tells us when an adult buys a full-price ticket, each 4th grader gets 75% off. Visit Amtrak to learn more.

Two years ago, our family took advantage of Park program to go on a National Park tour in the West. We visited Devil's Tower, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, Theodore Roosevelt National Parks and even Herbert Hoover's birthplace on the way home.

Make some priceless family memories with your 4th graders! Go exploring!
