Did you know there’s a new park opening in Avon this spring?
Helen Pecar Park is located off of 150 N in Avon, and will be open to the public starting during its grand opening event April 27 4:00 – 6:00 PM!
This park will feature a campground, nature center, playground, and low ropes course. The nature center is already open and is home to several living creatures in its exhibits, including two tortoises, turtles, a snake, a lizard, and tadpoles.
The new playground equipment has two rock walls, nature play features and two handicap accessible swings. The camp ground will be open on the weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
During the grand opening event next week, you can kayak on the Raccoon Lagoon pond, check out the nature classes, and take a tour of the grounds.
