You guys, if you have a 3-5-year-old at home, you need to try this out at least once!
Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library and Biggby Coffee have been teaming up for the last two years to provide parents and grandparents with a combo perfect for taking care of a preschooler: great books, rhymes or songs, a craft, a (FREE) kids drink, and coffee for adults if you want to purchase it.
Ms. Mareen or another staff member makes their way from their usual post at the Youth Services departments at PGTPL to Biggby Coffee Shop in Plainfield to provide a themed story time in a non-traditional environment in the community.
Pick up a free kid’s drink from the counter, provided by Biggby (you have to mention you’re there for story time). Your child can choose a chocolate milk, hot chocolate, or kid’s whip (whipped cream in a cup with chocolate syrup and sprinkles).
Ms. Maureen brings a craft to work on, several fun picture books that she reads aloud.
Story Time at Biggby Coffee is provided the first Tuesday of every month. The next one is scheduled for April 9, 2019.
