YES! Take Your Kids to the Midwest Outdoor Expo

By Meghan Stritar March 6, 2017

Our family motto is “Adventure” so we are clearly excited about the upcoming Midwest Outdoor Expo on March 24th, 25th and 26th at Lucas Oil Stadium. But, even if your motto is a little more laid back, you will find fun at this expo. Here are just a few of the kid-friendly experiences happening:

  1. Silly Safaris Show: Live animals, need I say more? With this show there is ‘more” as they educate kids on the natural world in a fun, interactive way.  We have attended this show several times and it always has the kids engaged and roaring with laughter.

  2. For your adventure seekers: There will be a zip line, stunt jump, rock wall, and slack wire walking. There are also hot air balloon rides! (for an additional charge)

  3. Outdoor Ice Rink: For real!? My oldest has been begging me to do this for months.  What a great opportunity to try it out where if she lasts only 2 seconds we have other choices!

  4. The classics: I love that even with the bigger attractions they haven’t left out the classic kid activities like: inflatables. magic show, basketball hoops, fun house mirrors and soccer goals.

  5. Pro-team mascots: Which one is your kid’s favorite? Freddy Fever, Colt’s Blue, Pacers Boomer, and Indy 11’s Zeke will all be making appearances!

General Admission Kid tickets are only $5.00 for ages 4-14. Under 3 is free and 15 and up are $14.00. Most activities are included in this tickets. Some have additional fees including:

$2: 70 ft. inflatable obstacle course, combo inflatable w/slide, and leaps and bounds

$6 each: Zip line, Stunt Jump, Rock Climbing Wall, Outdoor Ice Skating Rink, Tug and Dunk, Drone Zone and Bunchy Trampoline

Hot air balloon reservations and  prices can be found here

To decide which day to go, I suggest looking at their schedule of events to find what YOU want to experience. I’m personally most excited for the Vintage RV showcase. There is everything from camping, RVing, tiny homes, lessons on beekeeping, tower gardens, solar power and so much more.
