Disney has done it again... we can not help but love the sister princess power in this movie! I love that Disney is using the allure of princesses to show young children that they can be strong, adventurous and courageous. There is a part in the movie where a small group needs someone to drive a flying coach and Sofia takes on the challenge and reads a map to figure it out. Hooray!
We had 25 kids come to our premiere party at Brownsburg Library. They loved the activities provided by Disney Jr. that included decorating a placemat and making butterfly hairclips while wearing their special movie tiaras. The library had Sofia books and puzzles while Tessa Turnipseed Photography took pictures. We then headed to the movie room and the kids ate popcorn and Jiggley Wiggley pudding (a reference to the movie). The kids were entralled during the entire movie! Some were bopping to the music and I heard a few say they really like the dragons. There were even a few suprised faces when Rapunzel appears to help the sisters when they are in trouble. When guests left they got a movie poster from Disney Jr. and were ALL smiles.
The movie premieres soon on Disney Jr. for all to enjoy. Sunday November 23rd at 7pm.
