Plainfield Christian Church opens indoor playground!

November 6, 2014
The PCC indoor playground has gotten local parents excited, and rightfully so! This play space shaped like a a tree has elements for ages 2-12 and some actvitities for the littlier ones around the perimeter. I spoke with Lora Lewis and Tyler Leland on opening day and there were already 22 kids playing, jumping and climbing all around.
I asked them some questions I had been seeing around social media and some I thought the MK community would want to know:

First, what are the hours? Right now they are T/Th 9-11am and 1-3pm. They are looking at adding more hours during holiday breaks and reevaluating based on needs of the community and their preschool.

Cost?  Free! And you don't have to be a church member to attend. Tyler mentioned it is really a "no strings attached" playspace where they want people to "come be who you are". They built the space so the greater community can come together and parents can meet each other.

Some additonal information to know: There is a greeter as you enter the play area that signs you in and give you the rules. Every parent is responsible for watching their own child and enforcing the rules. They ask no food or drink be brought in unless special dietary needs.

Personally, I found the colors of the interior very calming and Tyler and Lora even hinted they are working on getting a coffee bar for parents!! WOW! This place is definitely going to be popular.

To all involved in making this happen, Thank you so much for giving back to our community and providing a safe, indoor place for our kids.
